Welcome to the City of Oswego Rental Assistance Program website. As you peruse the following pages you will learn about our agency, the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, the self sufficiency programs we have underway, and the services and programs we provide.

First and foremost, we are here to assist our program participants. We strive to not only to assist participants in finding quality, affordable housing, but perhaps more importantly we can help our participants achieve financial independence. We hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to read about our programs that have been designed to help participants reach their goals.

The Rental Assistance Program began in the City of Oswego in 1976 and have been assisting residents over the past 40 years under the over site from the City of Oswego Common Council and the Mayor of Oswego. We currently serve 489 families in the Oswego community through direct partnerships with private property owners.

We are proud of the accomplishments we have achieved to date, and we are committed to seeking out innovative housing opportunities and special programs that will serve to positively impact the lives of our program participants  And, with the support of the City of Oswego and our dedicated employees, as well as the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, we are confident that we can continue to improve the housing and programs we offer to our participants and our community.
